I will be glad when my subscription is over
I did call one guy who I was talking to on eharmony. It was really weird. Seeing someone's picture and the words is just not the same as meeting them or talking to them live.
I tried signing up for another service called Chemistry.com and I'll let you know, but I'm really not thinking I will like it any better. It just has a stranger matching system. [I know they all match you with a stranger, I'm just saying the questions you have to answer to get on are strange ;-)]

I tried Internet dating before, and met a few women that way. But the ratio of men to women is so lopsided in women's favor that I found it discouraging, so I'm reluctant to try it again.
I always thought it was the other way around, but I looked online and your right. Looks like the odds are about 3 to 1.
I agree, it can be very weird to finally meet in person. And I also agree that there is no one like you.....that's good enough for you, I mean. :-) You just never know what's in store for you.....
I think sometimes when you meet someone in person, you wonder if they actually are the one who was writing to you ;-)
I just did a little more research and eharmony is the only on-line dating service that has more women than men. That is probably why I thought they all did.
I did it for a while...one thing I now think about it is that when you read someone's profile, exchange emails, and look at a photo or two, you form an opinion about a person, kind of the mind feels in all the blanks. But when you see each other in person, hear the way one speaks, sees non-verbal cues, etc. it's easy to sometimes think it's a totally diff person.
I know it's hard sometimes...

I know that we all have different communication styles. Some people can write well, but have trouble when it comes to speaking. I can be really shy sometimes.
Hi Moggy - since your life is a cartoon, maybe you need to start looking on the comics page in the newspaper!
;-)
Actually, my lovely niece met a Mr. Wonderful on eHarmony and they are now married and living happily ever after... I guess sometimes it works out.
Thanks for linking me, by the way.
Pam - very funny, although I do think that Dilbert is kind of cute and single(at least in the cartoon) ;-)
Dilbert is cute, yes, but his tie is very, um, rebellious? This couldn't bode well for your children...
Pam - that's okay I'm too old to have more children and I chose someone much worse than Dilbert to have a kid with when I was younger ;-/
I had no idea, Moggy. You look so young in your cartoon!
;-)
It's my inner child showing through ;-)
