My Life is a Cartoon

Maybe my life is not a cartoon, but I do like to draw little cartoons about some of the things going on in my life.

Party Planning

We planned our October Celebration. I was giving ideas and no one liked them. I was hurt so I stayed quiet for a while (really) but at the end. I did go ahead and put in one more idea.

They all really liked my last idea, so at least I was able to come away from the meeting feeling like I had put in something.

Wow. The people at your work sure dress weird. And you work with a witch? Does she cast a spell on you if you don't bring her coffee? I had a boss like that once....

janet - she is less scary than the girl with red hair, but what worries me is that I forgot to give myself a hand or two.

I'm sorry that you felt hurt today. I tend to be very quiet at work and keep to myself. It protects me from those kinds of feelings.
Glad that liked your last idea.

Moggy those coworkers must be a bunch of airheads if they didn't like your first ideas. Or more likely, they had a case of groupthink, which results in poor decisions that dismiss brilliant suggestions in favor of dumb stuff.

Oh, I thought that was YOUR costume, the girl with no hands....ooooh! Scary!

The skeleton face guy looks like an aging rock star...ick. The witch looks like she is cackling "eeeh heeheeheee!" And the guy with yellow glasses, is he supposed to be a porn star...sorry, he's just uber goober looking. The guy with the laptop, I used to work with him; he always brought his laptop to meetings, surfed the net, then later said, "what did we cover in the meeting?"

See, you DO get paid to attend meetings!!! And isn't rule #1 in meeting ettiquette... "when brainstorming, there are no bad ideas?!" .... what did your colleagues learn in the last team-building workshop anyway?!

I think your ideas are almost always spot on!

Thanks for the laughs tonite....those colleagues, at least you didn't make them all clowns!

K&J - they made up for it by going on over my last idea just enough ;-)

NF - oooh I hate that groupthink mentality, I think that was part of it.

Al - thanks for thinking my ideas are good, but I was wondering... how do you know what porn stars look like ;-)

Moggy...Seinfeld.

Everything in life reminds me of a Seinfeld episode. On one show, George comes up with a name for himself, should he ever become a porn star. "Buck Naked" ... that would be his screen name. He wasn't one; wasn't gonna become one, but that would be his name if he were.

Vandelay! Vandelay! ....wait, that's a different episode.

What do they know? Is your area one of those all decked out for Halloween? Some of them are really cool.

Nankin - No we have nothing in the way of decorations in my area, but I do have to pass by some of the ones your talking about.

The only reason were having a celebration is that we have one every other month or so. It's just a team building thing.
