Last Post till I come back from Vacation

I went out today and moved the Rabbit Food away from the back door.

We think the cat is getting jealous of us saying "oh he's so cute to the bunny" and when I was moving it I could see a tiny little bunny under the edge of the bush. He thought I did't see him and just sat there really still. And yes "He was soooo cute"

Also we went out to eat last night because it was The Boy's birthday. I didn't do a cartoon of it because it was not pretty. There was way tooo much food and it was all you can eat and choose what you want. I had steak, okra, potatoes, chicken, ice cream, cake, etc. The only thing I can say for myself is that I tried to get small portions of what I could so I got a taste of a lot of things without really putting as much as I could have on my plate.

Getting ready for vacation ;-)

I think it's been over 30 years since I really had a good vacation. That's because when I was married I don't really consider vacations to have been very good. Then I got a divorce and was so busy working that I didn't have a chance to have a good vacation.

Now I have been at my job long enough to get a vacation and I've found a Sunday School Class that goes on vacation together, so it should be fun.

I probably will not post anything for the week that I'm gone, but I will take a little note pad and when I get back I will post all about it. ;-)

So no posts after this Saturday until I get back which will be Sunday sometime. I may be too tired to post then.

Planning Get Together

I was not very good today. We made plans for our vacation. It was fun and there was a lot of food.

I was very good today

I not only avoided the soft drinks, but even the vending machine with candy in it. The boy brough me home a taco for supper. I did eat a little Angel Food cake just now, but I don't think it's too bad for you.

I don't expect to be skinny by the time I go to Florida, but it's looking like I might be able to take off a pound or two ;-)

I've been avoiding Soft Drinks

I'm not sure how long I can hold out, but it's been about 5 days and so far so good. I don't really feel bad, or great.

I have noticed that water is starting to taste a lot better. I have been drinking soft drinks like they were something to quench thirst, when I know that's not really true.

Monday

I hope today goes well at work - we have a big project going on. Due this week.

Sunday School yesterday was great as usual. They talked about the Ancient Jewish Tabernacle and how each part of it was a picture (I liked the word forshaddowing, but I'm not sure how to spell it ;) of Jesus.

I want to hold this place for drawing and the information about how it relates. - for now I gotta run finish getting ready for work.

Sunday

I saw this news report today from Tomball Tx. They are having trouble with Hogs. So I'm not sure the cat really wants to jump on a hog. ;-)

The hogs, some weighing up to 250 to 300 pounds, usually travel in packs, with numbers ranging as high as 20 in a group. They forage for roots, tearing up landscaping and destroying hay fields and pasture land. To complicate matters, the hogs are rapid breeders.

This time next week I will need to have my bags completely packed and be ready to go on vacation. I'm going with a group of people I don't know very well, but it's my new Sunday School Class and they are really nice people. I need to lose a little weight, but I don't think that's going to happen. I just need to pack stuff that doesn't make me look fat ;-)

I have put off trying on my swimsuit, but I guess I better go ahead. If I have to buy a new one it's better to know now. Maybe I can get one of those slimming ones ;-)

Friday

It's been a rough week. If I didn't have God to lean on I guess I would be feeling down by now.

Thursday

I found a piece of furniture that I wanted at the store. For now it's just a brown box. I liked it that way because it was easy to bring home from the store, but I'm not sure how easy it will be to put together. I also have to move some stuff to make room for it. It may be the weekend before I put it together.

Planting Peas

So you don't feel so bad for the Rabbit we did plant some peas along the side of the fence. If they come up that should keep the rabbit happy. We saw a new bunny today. He wasn't the large, or medium or small one we have seen. Were going to have to call him small to midlin bunny ;-)

tuesday

Hopefully the bunny will be happy with just the grass around the garden now. We do have some plants in the front flower bed he can come after if he want to. I hope I don't have to put chicken wire in front of my house.

Sunday Morning

I know that I said no more cartoons Sunday Morning before Church. There was so much was going on in the back yard when I looked out I wanted to record it. I didn't have time to get the camera.

Good thing the Rabbit fence goes up today.

Saturday May 13th

My friend called today and he saw a snake with yellow and black. I've been trying to figure out what it is. I don't think it's anything bad. There is an old saying Red touches Black friend of Jack. Red touches Yellow kill a fellow. That is how you are susposed to know if a snake is dangerious.

I also went and took my Mom out to eat for Mother's day. I know it's not till tomorrow, but I want that Day to myself. I also got her a hanging basket. For my mother's day I got chicken wire - that's to keep the bunny from eating the rest of my garden. I guess the boy and the girl will fix a little fence for me since they got me the chicken wire.

Friday

There was a very cute baby bunny in our back yard today. His mom went right over to our garden and started eating the leaves off of a little corn plant we were trying to grow. It was cute, but I will need to put a fence around the garden. There is plenty of stuff for the Rabbit to eat without eating my garden.

I'm under the weather

I'm not feeling great. Tomorrow is friday, but this weekend is Mother's day so I will have to get some energy and do something. I've been working on some stuff that's due tomorrow morning at an 8:00 meeting.

Thursday Car Pool

The boy is going to drop me off at work today and then pick me up. His car is having problems and I really don't mind. It will be like having a Chauffeur. Maybe I will ride in the backseat and make him call me Miss Moggy today ;-)

Yep it's 2:30 again

I hope this doesn't become a habit. I'm feeling pretty rough. - I think it was the icecream I had before bed. I was really just making room in the freezer for the breakfast burretos. I decided to make them because I need to start eating better. I dont' know why it's so hard to eat right and stay away from the sweets. Oh well - "I'm going to be good from now..... on"

A bad ear day

I have been having trouble with my ears and I read somewhere that a warm salt pack is good for your ear. I told my friend at work that all I had was a salt packet. I wondered if I could cut it in half and heat it in the microwave and use it as a salt pack.

I'm not sure how to make a salt pack, but I do think people would look at me funny if I had salt packets coming out of my ears ;-)

It's 2:30 in the Morning and I'm awake

This is a picture of a wild hog at night. They live out in the woods around where I go camping. At least they don't have glowing eyes. That's just the flash of the camera. Still I don't hope to run into one. I'm going to have to practice climbing trees ;-)

By the way, I'm not awake because of fear of wild hogs. I had to take something for allergies. I'm going back to sleep and dream of pleasant things.

It's Sunday

I have an appointment at 3:00 for an eye exam. I'm going to get some new glasses. I've gotten tired of trying to patch together my old glasses and I need a good pair.

It's still raining on and off and the plants are looking good. I have so far gotten 13 little tomatoes off my tomato plant. We got some sweet pea and regular pea seeds to go on the back fence.

This is bad. I got up and updated my blog and then fell back to sleep and woke up too late to make it to Church. No more blog on Sunday Morning for me.

The Rabbit

The rabbit came up to the back step and wasn't too worried about the cat after he saw that it couldn't get out the door. The cat was very interested and if he could have clawed his way through the glass to get to the rabbit he would have. Since he couldn't get it, he just sat and enjoyed watching it with us. I had put some rabbit food on the step for it.

First Fruits

Here are the first two things I have gotten from my garden. It looks like some of the leaves have been eaten off my okra plant and all the leaves off of a little radish. Not sure who to blame. There were about 5 birds in my garden this morning before I filled up the bird feeders. I'm hoping they were just after pill bugs.

The rabbit was in the garden, but we only got a picture of him as he was leaving. We planted those marigolds around the edge of the garden to deter pests, but I think even some of them have been eaten ;-)

Friday Night

I came home and sat my glasses down somewhere that I can't find them. So I can't do a really good drawing tonight. Like I usually do. (ha ha) I will have to look for them tomorrow.

The girl and I are watching a scarry movie. It's an old one, but I didn't see it back when it came on. It has Betty Davis in it.

Thursday

I cut my grass, my hair and filled up my car and my bird feeders. Now I'm just resting and watching "Texas Ranch House"

Wednesday

This morning the rabbit was just outside the back patio door. I think he somehow knows that the cat can't get out because he didn't seem to be too concerned when the cat tried to jump at him. I put some birdseed on the step for him he was too busy eating to pay much attention to a cat.

Someone is in the garden

The cat was very interested in this, but he was not able from the inside to get our visitor to leave the garden. I guess I will try to put a little fence around it this weekend. I watched Texas Ranch House again and it's getting pretty rough for them. It makes trying to raise a little gardend not seem so hard.

I do need to mow the yard again. Why doesn't the bunny just eat the grass in my lawn down enough so I don't need to mow and stay out of my garden.

The cat and I are watching Texas Ranch House. I didn't watch the first part first, but it came on again and so we got to see that part. Actually the cat is not as interested in it as I am, but he is willing to sit in my lap for a while.
