My Life is a Cartoon

Maybe my life is not a cartoon, but I do like to draw little cartoons about some of the things going on in my life.

I found a dress for tuesday

We are having a 50s theme for our church group tomorrow and I found a dress like this to wear. I also put some flowers in my hair and pink shoes and bobby socks. I like dressing up, but not shopping.

Sliding Glass Doors

I helped my Dad put these sliding glass doors on the porch that he is inclosing. It made me feel good to be able to help him. First we put the metal outside on upside down and had to take it out and turn it over. The windows were pretty heavy, but not too bad.

Visiting my Parents

There were three of these beautiful bloomed out trees at the edge of their property. It's hard to describe how pretty they were. The rain had hit at just the right time for them to bloom out.

It's not over yet

We have had a lot of rain this month, but it's still in the forcast for at least tomorrow. I do like the rain, but I can see that we need things in the right amount.

It makes me think of how I sometimes use my time. I don't use a lot of it wisely and then I try to do a lot of stuff in a short amount of time to make up for it. I need to spread it out so it's not so overwhelming.

Not Again

I had plumbing problems again and I had to work all evening to get things working right again. I did try to call the plumber that I had out about two weeks ago, but didn't have any luck with them and it was after hours.

I read my papers from when they came out before and I didn't see any warranty, so I'm not sure if they would have charged me a bunch again or not.

But I do feel good that I was able to get the drain going with a few tools and a lot of prayer.

oops

Since I liked the side bangs I decided to cut some straight across bangs. As I said I have not had bangs since that time when I was a kid. I had forgotten that I have a cowlick.

So I pulled my bangs down and cut them straight across. They did not stay straight across. They kicked up on the right side where my cowlick is. I'm going to try laying them down with some kind of hair gel and see if that works otherwise no straight down bangs for me. ;-)

The Scale

I have not talked about weight in a while. My last plan has worked out pretty well and I am now at a better weight. This time I have been able to maintain my weight too.

I changed my eating pattern as opposed to calling it a diet. I feel like I am eating more than I did before and some days I know I am. I try to eat smaller amounts six times a day. I'm pretty busy too, yesterday I left work and didn't get time to eat and didn't get home till about 9:00. The bad thing was that I didn't get time to eat yesterday after work until really late and I'm sorry to say I ate a candy bar. So I was afraid when I got on the scale today it would be bad, but so far so good.

It will not stop raining

With all this rain my grass will not stop growing and I can't get out to mow it. My next two days are all booked up so I don't know when I'm going to get it mowed.

I'm afraid that the city may come out and mow it for me if I don't get it done soon ;-(

Moggy in disguise

I have not had bangs on purpose in a long time. Every now and then when I go to get my hair cut the stylist gives me bangs and I hurry out and push them to the side till they grow out. This morning I decided to try a very dramatic side bang. Someone who had not seen me in a while didn't recognize me, but everyone said they liked it;-)

Why I hate bangs so much goes back to somewhere like 3rd grade when my Mom cut bangs for me and when I wore them to school some girl made a remark. Yep that's all it took and no bangs for me.

The days are getting shorter

That is something that I don't like about winter. I like to see the sun for a little longer everyday. I'm not really sure how it works, it may be out longer somewhere when it's not here and if that's the case I guess I can share.

I was just a couch potato all day

It was raining all day and I just slept and read. I'm a little down, but sometimes that happens. Hopefully Monday will be better.

Saturday "The List"

Stuff to do today. Finish cleaning out my truck from my trip. I have to do laundry and I really want to do something different with my hair. I also have a couple of disposable cameras one from camping and one from my painting trip that I want to get processed so I csn see what the pictures look like.

But first I'm going to run to starbucks and meet some new friends for coffee.

plumbing problems ;-/

I had to take off work after already being gone for my camping trip and have a plumbing problem fixed. Sometimes it's not as much fun being a home owner as I would like it to be. I have some tree roots that get into the pipes and cause trouble. It is going to be a pretty big expense, but one day I will have to have some major work done on it.

I am back ;-)

I always have a great time when I get a chance to get out in nature. I took some pictures, not too many because I forgot my battery charger ;-/

This little bunny came up every day to get a drink of water and eat from the deer's food.

There there were a couple of deer who were tame enough to let me get these pictures. I have the hardest time being quiet so anything will stay around.

This was my favorite picture. It looks like a painting to me. I had a chance to go walking out in the woods by myself. There is something refreshing about getting out in nature that is not easy to get in the city. I know that there are snakes and other wild things out there, but I never remember they are there when I'm out walking it seems so peaceful.

And last but not least, the old deer stand that looks like an ewok house to me.

Just another Day in Moggyritaville

The day did not start out great, I will try not to gross you out, but I stepped in something this morning and had to come back in and change my shoes before I went to work.

I am still having trouble with my lawn mower so I got my old lawn mower and it has a few problems, one being that the handle is not stable. I did get the front yard mowed, but not without falling down flat in my front yard (well I guess since the yard slants it was not exactly flat). I hope that none of the neighbors were looking out their window at the time.

Just Thinking

I have often wondered what Adam and Eve really got from the "Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil". Today when I was listening to someone teaching at my Church my mind began to wonder (or was it wander).

I think that what they may have gotten was The Law. The Law would have given them knowledge without giving them the power or even the will to do what was the right thing. They really may not have known what they were getting. I would say this was false advertising by Satan (big surprise there)

Look at how much problems The Law and lawyers have caused in the world. I am not saying that people should be evil we need the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives to help us overcome that. The Law can't do it.

The pursuit of knowledge still seems to often lead men away from God. People believe they have found the truth when they find knowledge or The Law, but I'm not so sure. I mean wouldn't it have been easier to call it the Tree of Truth if that's what it was.

How many trees (of knowledge) have been killed to print all the legal papers and law books that we have. Maybe I have just stayed up too late ;-)

Love Vine

The Girl found some of this vine when she was walking and brought it to me. I haven't seen any in a while. When I was little my grandmother told me this was love vine. You could take some and put it on the ground and ask if a certain someone loved you. If it grew supposedly they did.

It's really more of a parasite than a vine. Humm I can think of some relationships that are like that ;-)
