My Life is a Cartoon

Maybe my life is not a cartoon, but I do like to draw little cartoons about some of the things going on in my life.

Heading South for New Years

Texas is big enought that I can drive about 6 hours south and still be in Texas. The weather has been beautiful this week and should be even better down south.

Also God seems to be doing something that should not surprize me, but still it does. I was just about ready to sell or rent my house and the one person that he had put on my heart all along to rent to came to me in need of the house. Not sure for how long, but it is interesting how it has worked out.

Quick Note

I will be going out of town for New Years, but will update my blog if I get a chance.
mon - I was late getting to work (so I"m going to try to be early today)
sun - I worked on my house. I have a new book "The House that cleans itself" that I've been reading.
sat - I had an old mattress that I wanted to get rid of and so I took it to the thrift store, but they don't take mattresses and so I'm still trying to figure out what to do with it.
fri - I worked the day after Christmas and there was hardly anyone else there. It was really strange to go to work and not see any of my co-workers.

Merry Christmas Everyone

I worked on Christmas Eve because I have used up my vacation time already, but..... After I got home we rode around and looked at Christmas lights.

We went to IHop to eat pretty late. They are open 24 hours Christmas Day even. I really hope I don't totally blow my diet during Christmas, but I ate two eggs, two pancake and two strips of bacon ;-(

Your sitting on it ;-)

When I got to work, I could not find my purse anywhere. My friend loaned me money for breakfast and then I went out in the cold again to look in the Moggymobile.

When I got back I noticed it smashed in the back of my chair. I usually put it in a drawer or at least under my desk. I guess the cold is getting to me. I also had some work related stuff that I had been worried about. That turned out to be okay.

Christmas Book

I had a little Christmas get-to-gather with a friend and she made me a little cartoon book. I will scan a picture from it later. - I gotta get to work, but when I get home I will try to set up my computer better (it's not set up good right now for me) and set up my scanner.

Twilight

I went to see the movie Twilight with a friend. I hadn't even heard of it. Come to find out it's from a pretty popular book series. I don't keep up with what books are popular, so how was I supposed to know.

Santa in the Center

On our way to the airport after dark, there was a police car stopped in the center lane of traffic. As we went around the cars we saw Santa Clause in the middle of the road. I guess he was having car trouble. [will fill in picture later]

Attack of the Faulty Bra

I know that some of you ladies have been wounded (or almost) by an underwire. So this is what todays entry is about. Who ever thought of putting wire into bras.

I was not seriously hurt. I will be more careful what I purchase from now on. I tossed out the culprit and will try to find some type of less violent means of support ;-)

Counting Calories

I counted calories about 3:30 Wednesday and I already had all the calories that I was allowed. I didn't actually have water soup. I had hot tea for supper.

My work group is eating out at a place that doesn't post it's calories so I may have hot soup again for supper.

Freezing Fog

It's been pretty cold here lately and I have been hearing about freezing fog. I didn't know what it was so I looked it up. It sounds like it would make a good horror movie.

I worked from Home yesterday because of the weather, but I'm going in this morning - through the freezing fog. It's above freezing here today, so it shouldn't be a problem.

By the way I did okay Monday in our weigh in. I don't have my computer set up very well right now for drawing cartoons. I'm using a laptop with the little button instead of a mouse. I'll try to set it up better tonight.

Christmas Lights

The Girl and I drove around and looked at Christmas lights. There are some really pretty ones in our town.

I also tried to put color in my hair in a spot that I had missed. I don't know if I said it, but I actually took a paint brush and painted color into my hair. I just didn't double check the back to see if I got it in all even.

I was feeling pretty good about how my hair looked, even though a couple of friends told me the back needed work. I took a mirror and looked at the back myself and they were right ;-)

Rambling thoughts of Christmas

I just heard the comercial that says "Kmart saves Christmas". This made me think of all the "Save" signs we see in the season of Our Saviors birth. Then I thought that we also see a lot of "Sale" signs and that we often sale out to the world instead of being sold on the things of God.

Then I thought about the Clearance signs. Wasn't Clearance the name of that Angel in the movie "It's a wonderful life". Oh wait, I think that was Clarence ;-)

Another Hair Color Mishap ;-)

This is The Cat up next to my new hair color. It makes me think of all the blond hair dye pictures where they show a little blond kid they and the Mom wants to match that color.

I'm trying to get it darker with a temporaty color before I have to go to work. I'm not really trying to match The Cat.

I am trying to get rid of more of that dark permant color which I put on my hair. The only way I know to do that is to bleach it.

If I can't get it darker, I may have to wear a wig to work tomorrow. just because I don't want to go to work as a blond all the sudden.

I just want to find a way to color my hair more natural without some harsh hair dye. I also have Church right after work, but I'll let you know how it goes.

Oklahoma is beautiful

Our cabin had a deck out back and you could see the lake and the shore from it. It was a very peaceful place.

I would never want to live anywhere but Texas....still while we were driving through the countryside I couldn't help thinking that it looked like a nice place to live.
Sunset on the lake from the other side of the cabin was beautiful.

There was a little squirrel who played in the yard and on the Deck.

I loved the wood color inside of the cabin and there were windows all around where you could see the lake.

In the daytime you could see the outside cross beam in the same spot at night you could see a reflection of the inside cross beam. It gave it a feeling of being close to nature and close to God for me.

packing to go to Oklahoma

This morning I'm busy packing to go to Oklahoma for overnight. Not camping this time I'm staying in a heated cabin ;-)

Yesterday I went straight from work to a friends house, she is taking care of her Dad who is 93 and can't get out a lot. It was her birthday and I took an old movie over for us to watch. I didn't get home till late.

I guess it's harder to keep up with my blog during the holidays.

I"m back, just really busy

I had a wonderful Thanksgiving and got to see the movie Fireproof which is really good.

Today is a weigh in at work, and after all the holiday eating, I will be really lucky if it doesn't cost me, but I think I am just about where I was last time. Now if I can get a little more weight off with all the Christmas parties.
