My Life is a Cartoon

Maybe my life is not a cartoon, but I do like to draw little cartoons about some of the things going on in my life.

I need to get more done on Saturdays

I wonder if I tried to rename the day if that would help me any. I sit at a desk Monday through Friday and should not want to sit around all day on Saturday.

Atonement

I heard a guy on the radio explaining atonement. That's not really a word I think about much. He said that when he was a kid he and his brother would fight in the back seat. It was a large car and his dad could not reach them when he was driving to punish them. But after he got enough of it he would say "just wait till we get home".

If it wasn't for Jesus taking our place (atonement) we might get away with this or that here on earth, but we would be in big trouble when we get home.

Quote: and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished— he did it to demonstrate his justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus - Romans 3:24-26

Cedar or Juniper Trees

I believe it's the juniper trees that have me under the weather. I tried to look back over my blog and see if I get sick at the same time every year.

Well I wasn't able to tell and maybe it's because it doesn't happen at the same time every year.

I may try to put pollen counts here and see if the way I feel corresponds with that.

Quote: But he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers. - 1 kings 19:4

I'm still not 100% well ;-(

I was really sick Saturday Morning. I do feel better, but not really good. I may go to the Doctor next week.

I still think itmay be Allergies, but I am not sure.

I need to start taking better care of myself. So I'm going to see if I can change the way I feel by working on my eating habits.

This is why I don't Iron

I guess if you didn't see this on TV you should know that he is getting ready for a really fancy date to show up at the door. He is cooking pasta while he waits. He keeps seeing a small wrinkle in his pants until he can't stand it......

When I first saw this I laughed out loud even though I was watching it by myself. I am very squeamish and so I could really relate.

I fell down

When it was so windy it blew the top open and then it rained in it, so I flipped it over to pour out the water. Then I left the top open when I was moving it so it could dry out a little.

It was not designed to move with the top open because I tripped over the top. Now my knees and one of my fingers hurt.

It did cross my mind that since I flipped it over it was getting me back. I am going to wrap my finger before I type anymore.

Happy Valentines Day

I have already had two of my blond friends ask me if this was them in the red top, but no one has asked me if they were the skunk.

I am Blackberry-less

I decided to upgrade my phone service so that I could have a blackberry and there were a few to choose from. It took a long time to decide and then at the checkout....... I found out that I had signed up for a 2 year plan. This meant that I could change to the better plan, but I could not have a new phone unless I paid lots and lots of money.

Now if I was a new customer or didn't already have a phone with them then they would have gave me the phone for a really low price.

So no new phone for me after all.

My dress from the 20s party

It was just the right color for me. Moggy Pink ;-) My blond friend has a headband with a big feather sticking up in the front of it.

I met some new people that I could become friends with. It was really nice. Like I said I really like to dress up.

The dress made me look fat because errr... errr.... I have wide shoulders - yes that's it wide shoulders. I also had sparkly shoulders in this dress ;-)

Rough Weather

We had some rough weather. I havent looked outside yet, but I don't think there was any damage to "The Leaning House of Moggy". We had sirens going off and my friend calling me and telling me to take cover.

My presentation that I stayed up working on was okay so I just need to find a way to concentrate at work.

I can't concentrate

I tried to concentrate all day because I have something due at 9:00 tomorrow that need some work. I can hear everyone around me. I am trying to mind my own business it's not easy.

I tried tearing up a paper napkin and stuffing it in my ears and then putting on headphones on top of that and playing music. Then I tried playing sounds like ocean and nature.

Now I have brought the file home with me and hopefully I can work on it now.

The Party

I don't have any pictures yet, but two of my good friends who were there were dressed like this. One had straight hair and a headband with a feather sticking up. She had on a black dress with layers of material like a flapper dress. The other one had on a sparkley silver dress with a purple boa. She got her hair done with pin curls in the back and little curls coming out in the front. She had lots of black around her eyes (a little less than a racoon) and so I put some black around my eyes too.

I had on a pink felt hat and a pink dress with sequins on the shoulders and around the edges. I don't have any pictures yet, but when I get some I will post one.

Tomorrow is my 20s party

I was going to pin my hair up with bobby pins tonight, but I didn't get it done. I'm going to go ahead and get some sleep and hopefully get up early to get the curls in my hair.

I am exicited about dressing up, but not so much about the party. I am not really a party person. Maybe I should just have dress up night once a month or so and just stay home dressed really silly ;-)

Lion Dance

I got to see one of those Chinese New Year lion dancers. It was fun to watch. The costume held two people and they really had a lot of talent. The one in the front would lift the head up really high and then down. They stepped together and danced around and got really close to people in the crowd.

The movements make it look like a giant puppy dog.

At least I'm trying

Today after walking from the parking lot into the building going to the cafeteria and to a meeting. I looked at the pedometer and it said I had done all this with less than 10 steps ;-/

My co-worker suggested that I try wearing it on my shoe and I thought that might work.

I put it on my shoe and then we had a fire drill.

After we came back in my boss told me that it looked like I was under house arrest and having to wear an ankle monitor. So I am not wearing it on my shoe again even though that did seem to work.

Pedometer design flaw

I seem to remember that I had this happen to me once before. I got a pedometer with a button on the front that resets the steps. So if you bump it or if your not careful when you go to take it off to read it. You just lost all the steps that it counted.

I'm going to try it for a while since I already got it, but I'm not sure if it's going to work. It's really flustrating after an entire day of walking here and there to be told you have only taken 5 steps.

Superbowl Sunday

I don't watch sports, but I did see enough of the superbowl to know that the square I got in the football pot at work did not win anything.

I got a new pedometer friday and so I went for a walk around the time that the game was getting started. The friend that I was walking with had been at a superbowl party and wanted to get out and walk. I logged in about 5,000 steps on my new meter and then stopped by the party for a while.

I think they may call it a super bowl party because of the dip, there were bowls of dips and chili ;-)

I had planned to walk home, but it got dark and my friend said that there are bob cats that go up and down a park that is between my house and the superbowl party so I got a ride home.
