Did I mention

When I was camping we went to a really fancy resturaunt. My friend had duck and I had yucca fries stacked up with meat on top.

I went to work really early this morning

I think I got up about 4:30, I'm not really sure. I had a document that I needed to finish before 9:00.

Anyway it went okay. I had to turn on two lamps on my desk to be able to see because they didn't have all the lights on and I didn't want to call security and have then turn things on. I just wanted to work.

Painting on a Tree

Yes I did paint the door on that tree.

I'm not quite finished, but even if I didn't paint any more on it than I have, I like it.

It didn't rain on me all weekend, so except for a couple of ant bites all went well with the painting.

It will be interesting to see what happens when it does rain, but I think it will hold up. I think it's going to rain before I have a chance to go back and see how it's doing.



I used oil paint and water doesn't mix with oil so I think it will be okay. The poor tree was so dry that it really soaked up the oil.

There is another tree about 5 foot or so from this one that has an opening at the bottom where it looks like some woodland creature lives. I did have to keep a watchful eye out to see if anything came out of that while I was painting.

Camping was so much fun. I ran out of time, but I was going to make some kind of camper for the back of my truck.

I tried sleeping in the back with the lid raised and netting over it the first night. The second night I thought I would try sleeping on top of the lid with net over me to keep away the bugs.

It was great because I could see the stars and really feel like I was camping outside. I would not try this in a public park.

The Moggymobill is packed

So I'm off for my three day camping trip. I'll try to draw pictures so I can post them when I come back.

I'm off for a three day get away ;-)

It was nice of my boss to let me off Monday ;-) I'm going to go camping and try to paint on that tree. I put a link to that post at the bottom of this post.

First I'm going to measure the back of my truck and see if I can make some kind of tent for it. That and pack is probably all I'm going to do today.

I hope it's not too hot, and I'm really looking forward to going.

You may not understand

If you don't go to my old Church you will not understand this cartoon. Someone said that when they were three years old and had a broken arm they got to sit on Roy Rodgers lap.

You may wonder to yourself "Moggy, what does that have to do with you, you were not even there when they said it?"
Well I happen to like Roy Rodgers, but I guess your right it doesn't really have all that much to do with me. ;-)

I will have to fill this in later

Got to get to work, but I dreamed about work last night - there were a lot of people putting stuff up on my wall (yeah I had a wall) It was like sample clothing or something and my entire wall was full of it. The room was fairly large. I also dreamed that I had accidently taken my portable phone to work along with my cell phone. - If I think of more I'll come back and fill it in.

Future Plan

I have been looking at buildings on-line and I think that after I get my truck paid off I will try to build myself a little building in the back yard to paint in. Just something simple like this.

My house is too crowded to paint in and I'm sure that The Cat would be helping me. Although he will be lonesome and will probably have to come out and visit me in my little building while I paint.

I still need rain

It rained a LOT just south of me, but my yard doesn't look like it rained much at all here.

I'm thinking that maybe my next door neighbor watered his yard so much that God didn't know we needed rain on this side of the street.

I worked so late that I went straight from work to Church tonight and it rained on me all the way. The wind was so strong that one of the trees at Church lost a fairly large limb.

I also got some great ideas for a series of paintings tonight. I'm not going to write them here, because I don't want all you guys painting them before I get a chance ;-)

Oh No.

I just looked at what the weather is susposed to be when I'm camping this weekend.

I don't think we will be riding around.

Something I haven't seen in a while

It's raining just a little outside and it's only Monday. Our weather doesn't even say it might, but it does say that tuesday to thursday look good for rain. I opened the back door just a crack so that The Cat and I can enjoy the smell.

I'm going camping this weekend

My friend has a new toy for us to play with ;-)

I haven't seen it yet, but this is what I think it will look like and what I think we will look like playing.

Anyway it should be fun and I'm still going to take time to paint on that tree.

Bat House

This is a bat house as seen from the third floor window of the place I went for the writers retreat.

You could not see it at all from the second floor where I was sleeping.

I thought it was a Church, which I guess goes to prove ...

You should be very careful what Church you go to. ;-) It could change you.

The last Cantelope

I had one cantelope left in my garden and it looked good yesterday, but it was just not quite ripe. This morning when we looked outside it was half eaten. I don't know if it was the squirrel or rabbit who stared it, but now the rabbit is out there finishing it off.

Watering in the dark

I was out watering the yard and I just barely saw this little rabbit shape before I hit him with the water. I did see him in time and that part of the yard did not get extra water. For all I know he may have got a shower before I noticed him.

He just stayed there really still thinking that I didn't see him. I love seeing little critters. I also saw a really small lizzard on the house.

I went to painting class today and I have decided to paint a four foot by two foot painting. I have not painted that big before. I'm going to decorate my living room with some big paintings. I'll take a picture as I go.

I may have eaten too much this week

Another Long Dream

I dreamed about a Sunday School Class. They were meeting in a large old house, that must have been conected to, or next to a small town. The large living room needed paint (probably dreamed this because I want to paint a murel on my living room) it had some odd wall paper on one end. There was a long table in the middle of the room and the ladies were packing something like lunches for the men. The Girl was very young in my dream. There was a beauty shop - oh and we were also cutting the guys hair. I remember telling one guy to go and have two things done at the beauty shop and come back and I woudl cut his hair. In this dream I do remember a lady telling me that I was cute and just needed to do something about my face.

I had another dream before that about another house near a small town. It's harder to remember that dream, except that I know it was completely separate.

Okay I'm pretty sure I had a dream before that about the house I lived in when The Girl was very little. I can't remember much at all about that

Spam >>

Someone has been coming to my site and using the comment section over and over. First they said "Here are a few links you might be interested in link" and put a link there. Okay I tried the link and I wasn't interested, so after they kept doing that I made my comments so that I had to allow them.

Now they come and act like they are just saying something nice about my site, but what they are really doing is putting a link from my site with the >> part which is so small I guess they think I will not notice. I wish they would not do that.

It's like a bad salesman - they must get something out of how many links they set up or something.

Rant Rant Rant

I'm watering my yard front and back

And my neighbor accross the street is yelling really loud inside his house. I know he is not yelling at me, but I hate to hear it anyway.

I only could hear him when I was out turning on the water, so at least he is not so loud that I hear him inside my house.

He didn't look like someone who would yell - he has a ponytail, shouln't he be like a kind flower child type person? I hope he gets a grip.

My New Truck ;-)

I think that God had this truck ready for me. This is sort of what my new truck looks like. It's white with some kind of orange stripe on the side. Now all I need is to get me a cowboy hat ;-)

I stayed up until about midnight friday night looking at trucks on the internet and then Saturday morning I called my Dad and told him I wanted a truck, and what kind. He had driven this one back from an auction for a friend friday afternoon. It drove really well and he had commented to my Mom about how nice it was.

I didn't really have the money to do this right now, but I really wanted a truck and I really needed some transportation. Did I mention that the air conditioner went out on my car and it gets over 100 degrees around here on a regular basis.

Canteloupe

I had the first real cantaloupe from my garden. It was really small, but it was good. The Girl ate some of it and then I saw a picture on the web of a cat eating cantaloupe and so I took a small bit to The Cat to see if he would like it. I guess I have a non cantaloupe eating cat.

I haven't posted anything about Sunday School or anything from my writers retreat, but I have so much going around in my head about it.

At last I'm getting that truck ;-)

I have been wanting a truck for a long time and now I think I'm going to get one. I'm so excited I forgot to put feet on my cartoon ;-) - I've got to get going. My car doesn't have air conditioning and the longer I wait the hotter it is going to be.

Friends Again

It's friday and I will have more time to work on my garden and spend with my friend ;-) I think my eggplant is ready - maybe past ready. I thought that it would get big and rounded, but it seems like it's not that kind. Maybe I should pay more attention to what type of plants I have.

It's back to work this morning

I got in late yesterday. The cat is mad and after scratching on my suitcase will not come near me. He will only go to The Girl and is especially friendly to her letting me know that he is mad at me for going away.

I was too tired to give him the attention he wanted, but when I get home from work today I will try to win him back.

Stay Sane

Did I mention that I got a new dress and I was looking really good walking from the car into Church when I noticed that I had a price tag hanging under the arm of my jacket. The speaker had people raise their arm if they lived in a certain area, which I did and I'm just glad that I found the tag and didn't raise my arm in Sunday School and have a price tag hanging out.


I'll be back thursday with more cartoons ;-) I did get a lot done today, not everything on my list, but I did climb upon the roof and cut the limbs that were rubbing the shingles. That was so much fun, I love to climb. A really strong wind came up while I was on the roof, but it was very refreshing and I just held onto the part of the tree that I wasn't cutting. I got the yard mowed and I may just take some clothes that I have clean (and tagless ;-) and do laundry when I get back.

Today's Sunday School

One thing we noticed about this passage was that it has "because of their faith", so our own faith can be a help to someone else. Sometimes our faith, encouragement and actions can be the thing that helps them past a hard point in life. Not just that because Jesus does come into the picture. Even the guys who brought the paralyzed man were not trying to heal him themselves.

Sometimes we are one of those people who can help someone else who can't help themself. You can pray for them and help them with the things that they can't at that time do for themselves.
and sometimes... yes sometimes.... we are the one on the stretcher who has become weak or paralyzed and are depending on others to help us to reach Jesus to get the healing that we need.

We need to help each other through the hard times.

Okay now I'm really getting off the computer ;-)

I wish I had started on this list yesterday. I have an hour at least before Church and then when I get home I will finish up.

I will be gone after today for a three day writers workshop, so I don't know if I will be able to post. Anyway I will do some little cartoons while I'm gone that I can scan and load.

My Saturday

They say a picture is worth a thousand words ;-) Well I didn't get much done Saturday, but I have plans to get something done today. Before and After Church. I have already been out to water my garden, so now I need to get some breakfast and make a Moggy Do List

Just got home from the movie

The girl and I went to see "Lady in the Water" I REALLY liked it. If you don't go to see that kind of movie you might not want to go, but it was just right for me.

One funny thing happened even before the movie started. I always get a large sprite and two straws and then share it with The Girl. She went to pick it up and it slipped and she squeezed the cup - not enough to lose the drink, but somehow just enought to pop one piece of ice out of the cup and down the front of my shirt. It was something that she couldn't have done if she tried, so I know she didn't mean to do it.

Sky Gazing

When my friend was up we tried to see the little dipper, but I didn't remember that it was shaped the way it is. All we could remember was to look at the two stars in the big dipper and a line from that should go to the little dipper.

I didn't know it went to the end of the handle and that the little dipper was sort of upside down from the big dipper.

The Claws came out

The cat want's me to get off the computer and play. I am so close to getting that database thing I was working on done - that I brought it home. I have a lot of other stuff that I need to work on too.

I love working with databases and looking at the code that goes into the web pages. I did have to get down and play for a while.
Cats need to play.

Another Knock on the Window

And when I look out I see that the bird feeder is once again empty. I hope I'm not teaching them to knock by refilling it.

There is so much stuff going on at work

I think the little light bulb above my head need to be a little larger ;-) We are starting on some new stuff that is going to take a lot of thinking. I'm trying to get to work early so I can concentrate on getting ready for all the meetings.

Also on a sad note one of my co-workers passed away suddenly in his sleep. He was about 6 years younger than me and seemed to be in good health. He was the sweetest guy too. We are going to miss him and I know his family must be heartbroken.
